Warum ausgerechnet Ziegenhaar?

No, we have nothing against synthetic fibers. On the contrary. Nevertheless, for decades we have relied on a natural material: genuine goat hair. It is used in the brushes of our record cleaning machines as well as in our new Quick Care Brush for quick dry cleaning.

 Why?

Quite simply: Because goat hair has proven to be particularly gentle and at the same time extremely effective in numerous tests.

Why does the brush material matter at all?

When cleaning a record, it is not important to scrub as hard as possible. What matters more is removing dirt from the fine grooves without stressing the sensitive vinyl surface.

This is where genuine goat hair shows its special properties.

Numerous tests with a clear result

During the development of our cleaning systems, different brush materials were compared with each other.

The same picture repeatedly emerged: brushes made of genuine goat hair achieved particularly convincing results in the fine record grooves.

They work particularly gently on the vinyl surface, penetrate deep into the grooves, and reliably pick up loosened dirt particles.

For this reason, Knosti still exclusively uses genuine goat hair brushes today – a feature that distinguishes our cleaning systems from many other solutions on the market.

The ideal complement to ultrasonic cleaning

The brushes also play an important role in the Disco-Antistat Ultrasonic 2.0.

The ultrasound loosens dirt particles from the fine grooves. The goat hair brushes then reliably pick up this loosened dirt, thus supporting the entire cleaning process.

In short:

Ultrasound loosens – goat hair picks up.

This exact combination ensures a particularly thorough yet gentle cleaning.
