Questions about the product

Here you will find frequently asked questions about the original Archifix box.

The Archifix box can hold up to 50 LPs or maxi-singles. Depending on the cover design, the use of outer sleeves, or in the case of double LPs/box sets, the actual capacity may vary.
We generally recommend not storing too many records in an Archifix box. You should still be able to easily remove the records from the box and push them back in. If the records are too close together, this can lead to damage over time, such as "ringwear" (the record's appearance on the outside of the cover).

If correctly assembled (at least 3 boxes next to each other, edge to edge)
Up to 8 boxes can be stacked safely. We recommend using the included connecting strips. These provide additional stability and prevent the boxes from tipping sideways.

Since records should always be stored upright to avoid so-called "warps" (wavy deformations of the record, vertical runout), it is essential that the speaker is placed upright (vertically).

Basically yes. There are slots on the back of the box for this purpose. However, since the box weighs a lot when fully loaded, wall mounting is only recommended to a limited extent (depending on the structure). Furthermore, the slots on the back should be reinforced with washers.

We designed our Disco-Antistat cleaning machines so that the cleaning machine and accessories can be neatly stored in the Archifix box. This way, you always have your cleaning machine handy where you usually need it: near your record collection.
Of course, you can also use our Archifix boxes to store a variety of other things, such as folders, magazines, books and much more.

Why record care is important

Better sound quality
Dust and dirt not only affect the appearance of your records, but can also cause scratches and annoying noise. Regular care ensures that the sound remains clear and authentic - so you can enjoy your music in the best quality.

Longer lifespan
Records are delicate treasures. By cleaning them regularly, you protect them from wear and tear and damage that can be caused by dirt. This increases their lifespan and ensures long-term listening pleasure.

Increased value
Records that are well looked after not only retain their original value, but can even be more desirable for collectors. A well-preserved collection is a real gem - both for you and for potential buyers.

With the right care you can get the best out of your records!
